Kan någon gissa vad det här är?

Roibos te och tyg! Roiboosteet är ju så vackert rött och jag måste pröva att färga.

Can anyone guess what this is?

Roiboos tea an cloth. The Roiboos tea has such a beautiful red color and I had to try to dye. 

Det blev inte så mycket färg kvar i tyget, svagt gult, men tepåsarna blev fina!

Jag måste dricka mera te!

Not much color left in the cloth, light yellow, but the teabags have a nice color!

I have to drink more tea!

Nya moderna block. New modern blocks.

Block nr 25 heter Pendants.Översättning: Hängsmycke, örhänge, kläpp, prisma. Lite konstigt namn.

Block nr 25 is called Pendants, a little peculiar name.

Kort. Cards

Jag är med i en klubb på nätet, den pågår hela detta år.Det är mycket teori men praktik också förstås. Vi ska göra ett kort varje månad som uttrycker något som är viktigt för oss.. I januari gjorde jag detta kort, att ha fokus på det jag gör och inte göra en massa saker samtidigt. Den vita elefanten representerar visdom.

Fabric paper, ostväv, guldnät och pärlor.

I am participating in a club on the net, it´s ongoing this whole year.There is much theory but also practise of course. We are making a card every month, expressing something important for us. I made this card in January, to have Focus on what I am doing and not try to make multiple things at the same time. The white elephant is representing wisdom.

I februari blev det kärlek för hela slanten, också Fabric paper.

In February there was Love all around, also Fabric paper.

I mars har vi skrivit ut foton på tyg. Det här är ett foto jag har tagit för flera år sedan, jag har målat och sytt lite på det och ordet är Slow, arbeta långsamt.

In March we have written out photos on fabric.. This is a photo taken some years ago. I have painted and sewed a little on it and the word is Slow, work slowly.

Ännu en freeform quilt, den här ska bli en present till en person som gillar blått.

One more free form quilt, this one will be a gift for a person who likes blue.

Ett collage till en tävling hos Gudrun Sjöden

Tema återbruk och jag har använt hennes kataloger till klänningarna. Underlaget är målade pappersremsor, vliesofix, vadd och tyg. På toppen misty fuse och tyll, pärlemoknappar och ett halsbandshänge.

The theme is recycling and I have used her catalogues for the dresses.The foundation is painted strips of paper, vliesofix, batting and fabric. On top misty fuse and tulle, mother of pearl buttons and a necklace pendant.

Husbyggen. Building houses

Ä det fler som bygger hus? Idén kommer från Jeanneke i Holland och man ska sy ett hus om dagen hela året. Vi i Blockmakarna har satt i gång, det här är Guns hus. Storlek på blocket 7,5 cm.

Are more people building houses? The idea comes from Jeanneke in Holland and you are supposed to build one house a day the hole year. We in the Blockmakers have started building, those are Gun´s houses.The size of the block is 7,5 cm (3 inch)

Själv har jag inte kommit så långt med de små husen, jag är fullt upptagen med att bygga större hus. Det gröna i mitten är en silo som vi har här i Norrtälje, den ska rivas och det ska byggas nya höghus till bostäder.

I haven´t come that long with the small houses, I am fully occupied building bigger houses. The green house in the middle is a silo in our town, Norrtälje. It will be demolished and replaced by new skyscrapers

Trädgårdsmässa i Kista. Garden fair.

Trädgårdsmässan pågår den här helgen. Temat var festdukningar

The Garden fair is taking place this weekend. The theme was festivity laying of the table.

Antika trädgårdsmöbler och prylar.

Kocken Mattias talade om smaker

The chef Mattias talked about tastes.

Kocken och trädgårdsmästaren Hannu Sarenström gjorde sallad och pratade hela tiden.

Det blev inte så mycket köpt för min del, jag såg underbara rostiga trädgårdsredskap men inte så lätt att ta på bussen. Men det var härligt att bara gå omkring och titta på allt det vackra.

The chef and gardener Hannu Sarenström made a salad and talked all the time.

I didn´t buy much, I saw wonderful rusty gardening tools, but too big to take on the bus.

But it was lovely walking around and look at all beautiful things.

Mera moderna block

Jag har glömt att visa de moderna block jag har sytt. Det här är Chineese coins.

Varje måndag kan man hämta ett nytt block hos Jenifer på 42 quilts.

På tisdagar visar hon det traditionella blocket

I have forgotten to show the modern blocks I have made.. Those are chineese coins. Every Monday you can pick up a new block at Jenifer at 42 quilts.

On Tuesdays she shows the traditional block.

Det här är Jewel box och Valentine + Chineese coins.

The Spoolblock. Jag skulle ha fotat på andra ledden. Det här är block nr 23 och Jenifer planerar att göra 64 block till en quilt.

Ny fri form

Min senaste fri form, lite log cabin men snett och vint, roligare så! I stället för att kvilta traditionellt har hag kviltat tätt, på längden.

Hur har det gått för alla som köpte boken?

My latest free form quilt, a little log cabin but awry and wonky, more fun like that! Instead of quilting traditional I have quilted densely lengthwise.

På Nordiska museet i Stockholm finns fantastiska  skatter av folkkonst.

At the Nordic museum in Stockholm there are so many treasures of Folklore. 

Just nu pågåt en utställning som heter Skolslöjd.
